  • Withdrawal deadline and chance of project completion before various deadlines

  • Portions of the website need to be updated

  • Motors are loud when running

  • Final deadline to have the project working is 11/15

  • Update website fiscal budget

  • Fine tune motor functionality to reduce noise and increase speed

  • Get NPK sensor working

  • Continue work on the report and presentation

  • Tackle any other major problems

  • Accelerate progress to meet academic deadlines

  • Continue bringing components together instead of testing them individually

Week 6: 9/26/2024 - 10/3/2024 (1:00PM - 2:30PM)

  • Determined in-line solenoid valves are not necessary

  • Discuss placement of the linear actuator, motors, and wiring

  • Explain solutions to fan placement issues

  • Safety features for sharp corners

  • Continue work on bringing pieces together

  • Get GUI graphs working

  • Get ready to plant as we are running out of time

  • Recap of last weeks problems

  • Make sure 80-90% of the project is done by the withdrawal deadline - 10/25

  • Innovation lab for space - might not let us house the project

  • Coordinate meeting up in person - 3 times a week

  • Rendering legs are different than the stand legs

Action Items:​​

  • Continue bringing frame together

  • Get the TFT display operational

  • Extend the frame to match rendering dimensions

Week 3: 9/5/2024 - 9/11/2024 (5:00PM - 6:30PM)

​General Ideas:​

  • Discuss frame options and how our construction needs to closely resemble our proposed design.

  • Discuss OLED display options as an overlooked part is expensive and a replacement may be required.

  • Block diagram needs to be updated based upon panelist feedback.

  • Renderings need more labels on the compartments and components.

  • Review final report requirements.

Action Items:​​

  • Research frame options and finalize what material will be used and how it will be put together

  • Research OLED options and if a replacement component will be used or not

  • Begin work on frame and continue construction of other components

  • Begin preliminary work on the report.

Week 1: 8/22/2024 - 8/29/2024 (5:00PM - 6:30PM)

Discussion:

 

​General Ideas:​

  • Review panelist feedback from our presentation.

  • Discuss off the shelf pros and cons for NurtureNest Frame versus custom building it.

  • Determine whether a brush is needed to clean the NPK sensor between tray readings.

  • Highlighted areas where the website is lacking and needs updates from the previous semester.

  • Reinforced the importance of starting on the build phase ASAP.

  • Communicated important dates for the semester (Final Presentation on 12/6, Final Project Report on 11/29, Final Soft Draft on 11/22, Design 100% operational on 11/18, Design 90% operational on 11/11).

  • Reinforce importance of practicing our final presentation and staying within the time limit.

Action Items:​​

  • Update proposal sections of website where information is lacking (Renderings, Time and Effort, Etc.).

  • Start on building the project ASAP.

  • Update Timeline with more accurate phase timelines.

  • Define logistics between group members of where to build the project considering the distance between them.

  • Study the Implementation and Integration Rubric

  • Change "Proposed Budget" tab to "Final Budget"
